I really love the idea of a greenhouse.. But I'm thinking a bit.
How it is possible that when I find a fruit/herbs plant in the forrest and I gather those fruits/herbs, they contain seeds.. But when I take those seeds, plant them into the green house, grow that same plant and gather it's fruit/herbs, there are not any seeds at all? (even more if there were seeds for the first time we gathered that plant)
Usually if you are able to grow a plant to mature state so it has ripe fruit you can gather, there are also some seeds - this is how the vast majority of plants which is growing fruit works.. ;-) There is not any reason for a plant to grow a fruit but produce seeds to achieve its own continuity My suggestion would be to give them 3 production pathways so you can plant three seeds and either harvest them early to get herb, leave them later to get fruit and leave them even later to get seeds numbering 3-6. That way you can live off greenhouses, which may prove to be useful once space travel becomes possible. Growth per phase should be no longer than current production.
